Sustainability Spotlight Quarter 2 – 2026
Quarter 2 of 2026 is done and dusted – and we’re sure you’re just as surprised as we are that the year is flying by as fast as it is!
This quarter has been another very busy one for us, and we have a few really exciting things planned for the rest of the year as well!
AVA Conference
Hayley travelled all the way to Canada to attend and speak at this year’s AVA Summit – the world’s largest animal rights event!
AVA International is a global organisation building the infrastructure for a worldwide animal advocacy movement. Through regional Summits, intensive Academies and funder gatherings, they bring together advocates from across the world to strengthen strategy, share resources and accelerate meaningful change for farmed animals. Grounded in values of justice, inclusion and transparency, AVA creates spaces where collaboration and courageous conversations can thrive.

Whilst at WTM, Hayley met up with one of our partners, BAOTREE; it is always so lovely to meet our partners in person and catch up!
Timbavati Traverse
The Traverse brings together runners, walkers and cyclists to raise funds for the reserve’s anti-poaching unit and the Timbavati Foundation, which supports the local communities surrounding the reserve. We are also proud sponsors of the event. Learn more HERE

If you have ever wanted to understand the bigger picture behind sustainability, this is a great place to start. Led by Professor Jeffrey Sachs of Columbia University, this free self-paced course covers everything from climate change and planetary boundaries to poverty, inequality and the global economy. Fourteen modules, no prerequisites, and completely free.

Transforming Our World: Achieving the SDGs – SDG Academy
A shorter companion course from the same SDG Academy, this one focuses specifically on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and what it will actually take to achieve them by 2030. Six modules covering technology, governance, business and universities, ideal if you want to understand how sustainability connects to your industry.

Net Zero 101: What, Why and How – United Nations CC: Learn
A quick and accessible introduction to one of the most used terms in sustainability right now. This three-module course breaks down the science behind climate change and net zero in plain language, with practical tips you can actually apply. Takes around 90 minutes and comes with a free certificate of completion.

Donation of the quarter
This quarter we are proud to be donating to the TEARS Foundation, a South African non-profit providing free, confidential crisis intervention, counselling and support services to survivors of gender-based violence, sexual assault and child sexual abuse. Founded in 2012, TEARS is available 24/7, 365 days a year, and ensures that anyone who needs help can access it regardless of their circumstances.
