2020 EVERYONE! Happy New Year!
2020 sees me, the owner of Wild Dreams celebrating 20 years of being in the Hospitality industry!
In these 20 years I have worked in numerous departments within the industry and different environments. It all started when I left college a year early, moved in with my boyfriend (I was just 15!) and wondered into a Pub which was walking distance from his house to see if they would give me a job until I figured my life out. At the time not knowing what career I would end up in.
Little did I know I would end up working at this pub for 6 years, working my way up into management and having all of my hospitality related studies paid for by my employers. (Very kind) And not to mention I made many lifelong friends along the way and of course am forever grateful to my employers who assisted me.
I started Wild Dreams Recruitment in January 2017, so the company is now 3 years old this month!
It also is the first day of 2020! If these aren’t reasons to do a giveaway I don’t know what is!
To celebrate these ‘milestones’ for myself and my company today’s blog has been put together to help others who are passionate about the industry. Wild Dreams is passionate not only about the industry itself, but about giving back as much as possible and helping people on their own Hospitality journey.
We have collaborated with a great company and are giving away a FREE ONLINE COURSE through them!
The fact that the course can be done online is a huge bonus as you can still be in full time employment, or at school while completing a course and if you are unemployed you don’t need to travel to a facilitation and spend additional money in the process.
The company is called WildlifeCampus. You may have heard of them as they are the best in the business and have been around for a very long time. Many hospitality establishments will recognise your qualification with WildlifeCampus which will help in getting employment.
I personally did their Lodge Management course back in 2009, and it helped me on my journey from moving away from the Restaurant industry and into Lodges as there is obviously a vast difference. Doing this course proved to any potential employers that I have the background knowledge and was passionate about the industry enough to do a course.
WildlifeCampus offers a variety of different courses to suit everyone and you will be able to choose one that suits your personal interests. That’s right, ANY course!
