Chef de Partie – Eastern Cape

Exclusive Safari Lodge is looking for a SENIOR SOUS CHEF

Location: Eastern Cape (Port Elizabeth Area)


Candidate requirements:

  • Previous experience as a chef in the safari lodge industry is ESSENTIAL
  • Must have Grade 12 and a qualification in professional cookery
  • Must have at least 3 years in producing upmarket cuisine
  • Must hold a food handler health card or a food safety certificate (current)
  • Must have knowledge of food costing practices
  • Computer skills and advanced experience with GAAP POS and EXCEL are essential
  • Must be highly presentable and have great people skills
  • Must have a clear understanding of dietaries and nutrition
  • Must have in depth knowledge of hygiene practices
  • Excellent communication skills are essential
  • Must be confident, positive and willing to learn and grow as a chef
  • Must be able to take direction in the kitchen
  • Must reference well and have an excellent food portfolio
  • Preference will be given to candidates who hold a valid drivers license
